Rising Star Award: Biggest Rating Point Gain
Winner: Jason Sze (978 → 1048) — +70 Points
The most explosive rating climb of the tournament came from Jason Sze, who delivered a remarkable 70-point surge. His impressive 4-1 run showcased rapid improvement and tactical maturity. Ultimately, this stellar performance secured his breakthrough into a higher competitive tier.

Winner: Jason Sze (978) vs. Aleem Mohammed (1469)
Rating Deficit: 491 Points
Jason’s fearless play and determination allowed him to overcome a significantly higher-rated opponent with a 491-point rating deficit. In a tight five-game battle (-5, 11, -6, 9, 7), he maintained his composure under immense pressure. By doing so, he closed out one of the largest rating gap wins recorded this season and secured the most dramatic upset victory of the event.
