Austin Table Tennis Club Announcement:

Table Tennis Players: We asked Rick Mathes to hold this clinic at the club facility because I believe the Egoscue therapy methods are extremely effective toward addressing aches and pains associated with playing competitive table tennis. Rick has helped me overcome knee pain and shoulder issues with Egoscue therapy. I believe you will find the $20 spent on this clinic and individual assessment well worth the time and money.

The tournament was a resounding success for the organization and the administration. Also, the volunteers played a huge role in the success of the tournament. Without them, we could never have achieved what we did for sure. Special thanks to: Conrad Song for the hardest job on doing the draws and the smooth running of the tournament; Jim Story and Dwight Bawcom for always doing great at the check-in desk; Kip Iwakiri, Nosh Mody, and Sungsup Lee for doing a thankless job on the parking patrol department; Cesar Serna for the great tournament photo taking all day long; Kip and Amy Iwakiri for helping with the control desk work; Rusty Carter for doing the net measurement and table leveling; Kip, Dean Ginther, Phil Lahman, John Miller, Bernard Lemal, and Jesus Sotolongo for helping with the pre and after tournament cleaning. Proceeds went back to the competitors as cash prize given out to most of the events and to support the ongoing growth and success of the Austin Table Tennis Association. A quick glance at this tournament’s finance sheet:

Total entry fees collected: $6,539; Cash prize given out: $1,550; USATT membership and rating fees paid out: $1,678.95; tournament sanction fees: $150; food for volunteers all day Saturday: $215.96 This tournament saw the club making $2,944.09 net profit.

Again, thank you to all our membership for supporting our efforts to improve and promote table tennis in Austin area.
